The best swipe for your wedding

In this day and age when cashless payment is the rage, the credit card is one indispensable tool for many people. On one hand, it accumulates points or rebates for future but on the other hand, if used unwisely, it would be a straight shove down the bottomless pit of debt.

Like everything else, it's best to use the credit card in moderation. What better than to use the credit card or its reward points towards reducing your wedding cost or get something extra? But remember, if you use your credit card; don't forget to pay back in full every month. Don't ever let the interest pile up on your unpaid bills. If you had been paying attention to the last economic crises, you'll know what I mean.

There are so many credit cards out there so which one is the best card for your wedding needs? Well, it all depends on your personal preferences and lifestyle of course. There are some cards out there that allow you to have special wedding package deals but may be useless for everything else in your life. So be sure to do your homework and make the best decision based on your current lifestyle. Here are a few major banks that come with wedded goodies (couldn't seem to find others online but if you know of any, do comment!):
  • DBS cards (wedding venues, catering, bridal shows)
  • UOB cards (wedding venues, bridal shows)
  • OCBC (bridal services and photography but not a lot of info given)
It's also more advisable to use your credit cards to pay for your wedding purchases especially for venues and wedding vendors because it'll protect your interests, in case your vendor goes out of business or fails to deliver on their promises.

You can then dispute the charge made to your card if things don't turn out the way you expected. Credit cards also offer travel insurance and cashback for purchases, depending on what type of card you signed for. =3
